About Iolia

Iolia is a realm/dimension outside of one's universe that acts as a "sanctuary of peace" to those who end up here. It's not the afterlife per se but an alternate dimension devoid of war and destruction where no one can die.
(Basically this is a huge passion project of mine where over 40 different fandoms cross over into this beautiful realm of tranquility)

Iolia Geography

Other than the Portal where all Iolians come from, the majority of Iolia is covered in lush greenery on any natural surface that allows it, with natural springs dotted about the dimension between the numerous hills and mountains surrounding the main settlements.
There are 2 main settlements of Iolia:
Coune is the biggest and most populated city in Iolia and is where most Iolian residents live and work.
The other main settlement is the Cookie Kingdom which is filled with cookies from Cookie Run Kingdom.
There are much smaller settlements dotted around Iolia but are only populated by smaller groups.
However, there are a noticeable amount of unknown Ruins that have been found all around the realm. Even the very first real residents of Coune don’t know where they came from. Also no matter how much light is produced from the outer settlements or Coune, the stars still shine as bright as ever in the night sky in constellations unrecognizable to anyone who sees them.

Entering Iolia

All residents of Iolia have entered the peaceful realm in the same way: through The Portal. Where they were on the other side of this portal is irrelevant but everyone in Iolia came from the same portal. As for how each group got to The Portal is a different story but as a consensus, they each experienced a “reality-restructuring” event which resulted in said groups coming out of The Portal. What this “reality-restructuring” event that caused this glitch in reality differs from group to group, as most fandoms/groups have various types of supernatural abilities and universe structures. The downside is that once you enter Iolia, you can never leave, or at least no one has tried to, nor wants to try to leave..

Coune(The CCC)

The Character Crossover City(CCC) which has been recently renamed to Coune City, or Coune for short, is where a majority of Iolian residents live and work. The city as a whole prioritizes peacekeeping and functionality, much like the realm itself, as well as doing anything it can to keep its residents happy and well taken care of.Coune has approximately 6 zones: The High Rise City Center, The Entertainment Hub, Farmlands, The Docks, The Commercial District, Residentials, Miscellaneous, and The Amusement Park. Coune is a high density urban center in the realm with a walkable layout and lively citizens. Ensue hijinks.

Other Info on Iolia

Currency & Obtaining Necessities
Thanks to the mysterious workings of this realm, Iolia is able to provide all the necessities for those who enter within. So while residents don’t need currency to live their lives, some find working jobs that suit them while earning money for it is fulfilling.
As for currency in the instance of someone wanting to obtain something outside of necessity, many types of currencies are accepted by most businesses, or as an alternative, Iolians can barter with others and obtain it in exchange for trading something of similar value.
The types of currencies accepted include but aren’t limited to: Mora, GAC, USD, KRW, Yen, Coins, GBP, and various others.
School System
The residents are on a wide scale of education levels and for those in need of finishing their formal education, there is a School District with the best teachers around for anyone interested or in need! Otherwise, most choose to finish their higher levels of education either alone or in small groups at the Library, Research Labs, or somewhere else in Iolia.
How Settlements are Maintained
Most of it is done by the realm but there are a group of residents volunteering to maintain and update certain infrastructures but most of it is done by the realm or whoever created it.
Jail and Crime
Yes, there is a jail in Iolia. Yes, there are residents that have committed crimes worse than you could imagine. In these cases, these residents would be contained in the jail to be humanely rehabilitated back into society or in the worst case scenario, to be confined so they won’t completely destroy the realm. Thankfully, Iolia has a built-in defense to this as any abilities used to destroy Iolia or its residents are prohibited and prevented by the realm.
"Protection From Evil"
As mentioned before, there is a built-in defense from the realm to prohibit and nullify any abilities or actions that would otherwise cause destruction to the realm or its residents. It’s a case-to-case basis so not all magic is prohibited but if you’re using it for evil, that’s a no-no!!
Language Barriers
There are so many languages and dialects within the small realm. But thanks to the abundance of multiversal alien technology(thanks Doctor) that a couple of groups brought in, they’ve been able to aid in creating “Universal Translators” that people can wear and instantly understand/translate back foreign languages they couldn’t have before.
Religion
Diversity is a huge part of what Iolia’s culture has become and religions are no exception. There are tons of religions being practiced around Iolia and considering some of the residents are actual gods themselves, they are treated with the same respect as they would in their respective religion/worship. Their societal status doesn’t change but moreso they have the title and powers of a god like they would in their home universe.
These gods include but aren’t limited to:
Khonshu, Ammit, Hathor, Tarriwet, The Eternals, Phosphophyllite(only their prayer/pseudo-human form), The Seven Archons, Neuvillette, All Legendary Cookies
Societal Statuses
With such a diverse population and people coming from both extremely high status and severe poverty, it became sort of an equalizer within Iolia. As such, there’s really no huge prejudice or discrimination towards minorities of any kind within Iolia considering if everyone’s a minority in one way or another, then that becomes the commonality among the populous.
Healthcare
First off, healthcare is free for all no matter who or how much they need it. Considering the wide variety of medical professionals that have arrived in Iolia, the capabilities of Iolia’s healthcare are endless, and most common and rare procedures can be done. They’re also pioneering new medicine as it comes up considering the massive cross-contamination happening across different multiverses.
Multiple Versions of the Same Resident?
On the rare occasion, residents entering Iolia may have gotten their timelines mixed up, which results in multiple versions of them either appearing at once or scattered around the realm. Thankfully this doesn’t cause too much harm to anyone so long as these versions don’t make physical contact with each other(if they did gods know what would happen)
This however only applies to a small section of the Iolian population including but not limited to: Phosphophyllite, Jotaro Kujo, Joseph Joestar, The Doctor, The Master, Flowey and Asriel, Ken Kaneki and Haise Sasaki, Hatsune Miku(the only one where each version of her can make physical contact safely), Val Iraak and Violet Bexna

Origins

The 1st Iolians
Currently, the modern-day residents of Iolia have sparse information on who the first one to discover Iolia was, as there’s evidence of at least two other entities living in the pocket dimension before the GF and UT groups entered through The Portal. What explorers such as Val, Hilda, and the help of Ulysses could gather is the following:
Long before anyone else arrived here, only two entities resided within Iolia.
Erossa is a multiverse traveler seeking to cheer up those close to her.
And Iolia, Erossa’s companion had their life on Earth destroyed and made miserable.
The evidence on how they got to the realm is murky but long story short, Iolia(the girl) was absorbed into the dimension somehow(likely where the name came from) and Erossa left instructions on making this place a Sanctuary of Peace to hopefully carry on her purpose in her life.
Some have theorized that Erossa was forced to kill Iolia due to the fact she was dying and Erossa wanted to preserve her lifelong partner but this has not been concretely proven in any regard.
There is no evidence at the moment that Erossa died, nor that she left the realm, though she has not been found by any current Iolians either. Aka, Erossa’s MIA.
But because I can and have the information to do so, I will divulge to you:The Real History of Iolia(before the first fandoms arrived)
Takes place directly after Iolia & Erossa's chapter of TVA ends
Once Erossa and Iolia discovered the Earth Iolia once knew was long gone, this is what almost destroyed her. While she never liked the people on Earth, the scenery and nature of the planet was something Iolia longed to go back to but now she never could. Erossa couldn’t stand seeing Iolia this distraught and after all they’ve gone through together, they had to make things right.
Somehow, Erossa was able to reach out to the spirit of Varoxeko(Leader of the 8 Core Elements), who was able to temporarily give Erossa the ability to create a pocket universe that they would later tailor to Iolia’s liking. This pocket universe was a lush jungle full of beautiful hills, and hot springs, with mystical plant life, and had a small house within that the pair would later share for decades to come. It was the perfect little life Iolia dreamed of and to share it with Erossa was the cherry on top.But like all good things, they must come to an end. Iolia was only human after all and after living for much longer than any other human, she still eventually died. Erossa didn’t however and being effectively immortal and losing their closest partner in their long journey of life, they weren’t able to cope. Through an ancient ritual, Erossa was able to embed Iolia’s consciousness into the realm itself so while she wasn’t physically there, Erossa took comfort in knowing she was all around them now. Though the memories of that sweet house were too much to bear and instead, Erossa decided to retire to a more remote section of the pocket universe, only leaving behind a book back there for what would come later. After much debate amongst themself, Erossa decided to create a portal within the realm(now called Iolia) so that others could enjoy its beauty and tranquility. However, a specific algorithm was embedded in the portal so only specific individuals and groups were allowed to enter Iolia(but were unable to leave). Not long after, the first groups of Gravity Falls and Undertale arrived and Erossa from then on, has maintained the main settlement of the realm that has since evolved into Coune City.
